43.6 lakh electors removed from Jharkhand's roll in the SIR 2026

The Election Commission's draft roll, published 5 August 2026, removed 43,61,987 electors across all 81 Jharkhand assembly constituencies as Absent, Shifted, Dead or a Duplicate. It also issued a separate No Mapping notice list for electors still on the roll whose enumeration form could not be linked. This page breaks down both, from the Commission's own booth PDFs (43,21,852 ASDD entries recovered so far, 0.9% under the published figure).

Every removed elector carries exactly one reason code.

All 43,21,852 recovered ASDD entries, by the reason the enumerator recorded. "Already Registered" is the Commission's own term for an elector found on the roll more than once (the ECI's own press note calls this bucket "Duplicate") - kept as printed in the source.

The Jharkhand CEO published no district- or constituency-wise breakdown, only the state total. This table aggregates the per-constituency counts from the Commission's own booth PDFs. There is no per-district roll size in any published table, so there is no deletion-rate column.

Two coverage gaps to know about. The CEO portal published the ASDD PDFs for only 8 of Khunti's roughly 305 booths, so Khunti's removals are almost entirely absent here — a Khunti EPIC that is not found cannot be read as safe. And Tundi's ERO published every elector's mapping status, not just the unmapped ones, so most of Tundi's No Mapping rows are marked self or progeny (mapped). Both are handled on the EPIC checker.
