About 1 in 5 electors on Maharashtra's original roll is now uncollectable
Data as of 31 August 2026. Source: Election Commission of India, SIR 2026.
The AC-wise SIR statistics report gives, for every constituency, the electors on roll before this revision and the total flagged uncollectable. Maharashtra's original roll carried 9,78,54,049 electors; 7,71,65,562 remain retained and 2,06,88,487, or 21.14%, have been flagged uncollectable. The rate runs from 6.12% in Akole (ST) to 49.10% in Bhiwandi East. Separately, this site's own booth-level tally lists 2,06,88,419 electors on the ASDD list itself.
Two reasons carry three quarters of the list
Every elector carries exactly one reason code. Untraceable or absent and permanently shifted run almost level with each other, and between them account for three of every four electors on the list.

Some seats are almost entirely shifting; others are almost entirely untraceable
Against a statewide mix of roughly 37% absent and 37% shifted, individual constituencies swing far from that balance in both directions. Death and re-enrolment shares vary more sharply still, and the pattern differs from Delhi's, where one reason dominated everywhere.
Constituencies with the most distinctive mix
| Constituency | Reason mix | Shifted | Absent | Death | Enrolled twice | Furthest from average |

Bigger constituencies skew mildly higher, but size is far from the whole story
Each bubble is one constituency, sized by its original roll. Across all 288 constituencies, roll size and uncollectable rate correlate at r = 0.41 - a moderate positive relationship, unlike Delhi where the same comparison came out at essentially zero. Even so, constituencies of similar size land anywhere from single digits to almost 50%, so size alone predicts little about any one seat.
36 districts, ranked
The spread bar shows the range between a district's lowest and highest constituency, with the white tick at the district's own rate. Thane runs more than four times the rate of Hingoli, and district rank does not track district size.
